Rosalee Shorter has been hired as the head cheerleading coach for Stevensville High School.
Rosalee was born in Montana and attended Stevensville School from the 4th grade until graduation. In high school she played varsity basketball for three years and varsity golf her freshman year. She also danced five days a week and was in numerous shows in Missoula and around the Valley. Rosalee loves performing and won summer scholarships to Spectrum Dance Theater in Seattle, Riley-Woodbury in Salt Lake City, and Lou Conte School of Dance in Chicago. She graduated in 1994 and went to the University of Montana for two years and majored in Dance. In 1996 she moved to Atlanta and attended Georgia State University where she received an undergraduate degree in Exercise Science. During her years in Atlanta, she danced with a professional touring company and performed in Atlanta, Houston, Austin, San Antonio, Chattanooga, Birmingham, West Palm Beach and internationally in former Soviet Georgia. She then moved to Washington DC and attended Georgia State University earning a dual master’s degree as a Physician Assistant and a master’s in public health. She then began a long medical career as a PA and she and her family moved back to Stevensville in 2015. She now owns her own medical practice in Florence. Rosalee lives in Stevensville with her husband and four children. For the 2021-2022 school year she has three children in high school and one in middle school. She is very excited to be the new cheerleading coach and looks forward to a fantastic season.
