Mary Fahnenstock-Thomas’ (MFT) recent piece has some points to which I have to respond as she used ad hominem attacks on my husband and me as well as Frank Novotny, who debated her last opinion piece. Her attacks sound like racism which liberals use to denigrate those who would disagree with their points.
But again, like her previous message, she doesn’t use facts to back up her opinion, nor does she state ideas clearly. However, she has finally clarified the main idea from the last opinion piece the Bitterroot Star published.
The main idea from the last piece she wrote is “either/or” illogical thinking and one that presents a false dilemma. She needs to know that in-depth thinking has many more choices than the two she presented. “…We can choose a government that serves the corporations and wealthy people who buy into politicians’ campaigns, OR… we can choose a government that tries to serve all of us endeavoring to level the playing field so that we can all pursue our individual happiness.”
Is Mary happy with the Biden Government taking away thousands of jobs from Americans on his first day in office destroying THEIR happiness and well-being? Is she happy with Biden inviting covid and other disease-ridden criminals and illegals to come in threatening our health, well-being, and our financial stability? Is she happy with supporting foreigners rather than our own people? Is she happy that the US DEBT level is now LARGER than our economy? Is that what she means by “leveling the playing field?” Destroying America and its people?
OR… does she recognize that Biden is doing that very thing with his 16 MILLION DOLLAR book deals with corporations and speeches that he gives for six figure amounts to wealthy people?
Anyone like Mary who seems to want others to suffer, to lose their jobs and to possibly increase the chances of catching Covid or other diseases, is not a worthy debate opponent. Or as Martin Luther King stated, “Nothing in the world is more dangerous than sincere ignorance and conscientious stupidity.”
