I don’t understand why so many people haven’t gotten the vaccine. It has nothing to do with politics. It’s a health issue; a human being issue. Like so many others, I had a very rough 2020 year. I was so worried about getting the “virus” that I didn’t even hold my first and only grandchild, born just before those days. I had panic attacks and I cannot stand those awful masks.
But you don’t see me without a mask in a public place because I want the world to get healthy again. I want the virus to go away forever. Recently I was told by a reliable source that we could be in real trouble if less than 70% of us get the vaccine. We need to get what they call “herd immunity” in order to see the end of this sickness and death. If less than 70% are vaccinated then the virus can transform into something that the vaccine no longer works on. The numbers of cases could begin to peak again. Those of us who have gotten the vaccine and are beginning to relax may have a whole new situation. The worry and stress would begin again. I pray that this doesn’t happen.
My point is that this is not a political issue. It makes no difference which side of the aisle your beliefs are rooted. It is a human issue where we all want to be healthy. I want to see the end of those masks and the end of the fear. If you’ve been resistant to the idea of getting it, please reconsider.
