This past Saturday, 2/13, a heartening, cooperative effort took place in the Bitterroot.
Many entities and volunteers organized to provide COVID 19 vaccine for nearly 1,000, mostly elderly, people.
Despite single digits and snowy conditions the entire NE back lot of Marcus Daly filled up. Flow was efficiently directed. Masked, with smiling eyes, everyone distanced,
then moved into a large clinic, checked in, received information and flowed like clockwork down a hall for their painless shots. Staffing in every sector was efficient, cheerful, and knowledgeable.
After the chaos and discord of this past year the whole event was heartening and a huge relief.
In celebration I stopped off at Bitterroot Drug, since they got me on the list, and picked up a box of dark Valentine chocolates!
A sincere thank you to everyone who helped make this uplifting, lifesaving day such a success.

My 96 year old mom was there bundled up for the cold, ready for chaos that did not happen. It was a beautiful demonstration of what people of good spirit and compassion can pull off, even under difficult circumstances. Thanks to Bitterroot Drug, health care workers and community members working together.. This seems especially heartening in Ravalli County for some reason.
