Governor Steve Bullock today issued the following statement regarding three deaths of Montanans due to COVID-19.
“Today’s news of three losses is a heartbreaking reminder of the threat this virus presents to vulnerable Montanans. The Montana way has always been about taking care of our neighbors – and we must strive to continue keeping the health of our neighbors in mind. I extend my sympathy to all of the loved ones impacted by these deaths, and I know that everyone in our state will be keeping them in our thoughts.”
Notification of the deaths were provided by RiverStone Health in Yellowstone County and they stem from the COVID-19 outbreak at Canyon Creek Memory Care.

Stop letting this be political an DO SOMETHING already. As one reluctantly spending my days amongst the public, it’s pretty clear that no one cares at all about the people around them. Rather it’s because “I can’t breathe in these things” or “it’s just a government conspiracy” most Montanans aren’t wearing masks. I work in a tattoo shop in yellowstone. People don’t wear masks anymore when they come into our shop. They DID. Right up until good ol’ trusting Bullock said it was no longer a requirement.
I recently went grocery shopping where an elderly man followed me around calling me names I won’t repeat here, simply because I was wearing a mask. When I asked him to please back away from me, this man in his 80’s said “no” and proceded to try to get as close to me as possible.
So, NO. Not all Montanans are as kind and caring as you’d like to believe.
Also, look at the numbers. You’re an intelligent man. Get your act together and do what’s right on your own part. Shut this outbreak down. We’re counting on you with our lives. Show us how caring you are.
Also, anyone else no longer getting replies from the governor’s office?

Please make masks mandatory! If leadership does it, it takes the stigma away from business owners and individuals who want to be safe, but feel confused by the divisive public discourse. That’s the role of leadership in a crisis: to Go First with the courage to take a stand, so others can do the right thing when it’s hard to do!

You need to close our borders if any visitors come in thay need to quarantine for two weeks
Bill says
Please be PROACTIVE and issue a mandatory mask requirement for all indoor public businesses and public venues. This virus is beginning to take off like a wildfire!

We need masks, gloves, all borders closed possibly counties even, mandatory masks worn in every business open to public by Staff and Volunteers and sanitizers used by those people and patrons.

Make masks mandatory, and close our borders. Putting Montanas at risk.PLEASE
Mich says
It’s putting everyone at risk whether it’s in Montana or any other state. We’re all in the same country regardless and a virus isn’t aware of the line between each state.
Loretta says
Speak for yourself please! Read read read! Doctors say don’t wear masks! They are only to be used if your sick! Research doctors take! Don’t try to push your liberal ideas on everyone! Thank you
Steve says
Again, we are opening back up way too early and the cases and deaths are going up not not down. What is more important: the economy or people’s lives.
Linda says
We need to close Montana to outside visitors. Make wearing masks mandatory. This would help all.
Mich says
You can’t close just certain states. All have to do the same and wear masks or it’s not going to work.
