Florence wins conference
The Florence Falcons locked up the 6B regular season championship with a 62-46 win over Deer Lodge. The Falcons relied on a strong second half to secure the win. Aaron Ward had 22 points to lead his team. Sage Hanson finished with 12 points, Ryne Baerlocher had 10.
Florence defeated Frenchtown in non-conference action on Thursday, 63-51. Ryne Baerlocher had 19 points and Ward finished with 18 points.
Corvallis bounced back to take a resounding win over Anaconda, 70-30 in Southwest A action. Riley Bradshaw had 27 points, Colby Henderson 15 points and Beau Maus had 14 points.
Hamilton split their games last week. They lost a non-conference game to Loyola by 10, 68-58. Brad Palin had 21 points and Eli Rogers finished with 20 points. The Broncs defeated Anaconda, 57-39, in conference action. Palin had 16 points, Josh Bauder scored 15, and Rogers had 12 points in the win.
Darby lost to league-leading Drummond, 53-42. The Tigers outscored the Trojans in the second half but couldn’t make up the difference. Devin Thomas had 12 points and Jeremy Campbell finished with 11. On Saturday, Darby defeated St. Regis, 64-15.
Victor won both their games over the weekend. The Pirates topped Alberton, 52-40. Kyle Ball led all scorers with 29 points. Matt Kittel dropped in 10. On Saturday, Victor defeated Valley Christian, 72-55. Ball again had the hot hand, dropping in 30 points. Corey Deering had 15 points.
