The weather moved the girl’s game between Hamilton and Corvallis from Thursday night to Friday night where they played prior to the boys’ game. The gym was full and gave the game a tournament feeling. Hamilton jumped out to an early lead and cruised to a 53-37 victory. Coach Don Faris had a chance to play all of his players and give his younger players some experience.
“We actually relaxed tonight,” said senior Mary Conwell who finished with 12 points including two treys. “We just played basketball.”
Corvallis junior Lakyn Connors is one of the team captains. She finished with 15 points. She said the Blue Devils are a young team who haven’t been playing together very long. “It’s a work in progress. I want us to be able to work as a team and we’ve kind of been struggling with that but we’re getting there.”

Class AA Missoula Sentinel defeated Hamilton, 77-33, on Saturday. Meghan Kratofil had 11 points to lead the Lady Broncs.
The Lady Tigers of Darby picked up a couple of 13C conference wins over the weekend, topping Victor on Friday night and Lincoln on Saturday. Darby and Victor were tied at the end of the first quarter at 10 points each. But then the Darby defense went to work. They held Victor to only four points in the second quarter while scoring 17 points. Darby went on to win, 53-29. Halie Rennaker had 15 points to lead Darby. Haley Tillotson led the Lady Pirates with 12 points.

Strong defense was again the key for Darby against Lincoln. The Lady Tigers held the Lady Lynx to only nine points in the first half en route to a 46-35 victory. Lacey Dolcater had 11 points for Darby while her sister, Lauren, had nine. Darby is firmly in the middle of the conference with a 5-4 conference record and 5-7 overall record.

District 13C leader Drummond, 7-0 and 10-0 overall, was Victor’s opponent on Saturday. They defeated Victor, 67-9.
