Why are the schools in Montana struggling? In 2007 medical marijuana was legalized. One of the many arguments for legalization was “tax & regulate.” How many of you know there is a 20% tax on recreational cannabis & a 3% on medical. Plus, Ravalli County has an additional 3% for law enforcement. Well, my question is. Where is the money? I thought a part of the marijuana tax money was supposed to go to education. I paid attention, before it was legal. Why aren’t teachers in Montana paid top dollar. Why aren’t school supplies provided to students, such as notebooks & crayons? They are in Nevada. Why are schools closing for lack of funding? Why do they need to ask for levies?
Think about how many cannabis dollars are collected every month. That’s $20.00 for every $100.00 spent on recreational.
Where’s the money? Why hasn’t it been appropriated where it was intended by us Cannabis Advocates?

Gambling money was supposed to be allocated to the public indoktrination centers prior. They should be rich. Cours I asked this question 30 years ago and am still waiting for an answer.

You should probably check with Randi Weingarten and the Teacher’s union. While you are there, ask them where the money for the new HVAC systems they needed during Covid went. OF course this assumes can find her as she always seems to be crossing the globe so she can scream at some Rally for Palestine or something.
We are not the only state in this predicament. I have friends in states that had legalized Marijuana years before Montana and they say the same thing. It’s the biggest scam going, and the schools are still screaming for moor money constantly.
