Vote for a constitutional conservative, not an activist. The next justice on the Montana Supreme Court will be the deciding vote on cases that affect our jobs, our families, and the future of our state. That’s why this is the most important election on the ballot this November.
Judge Dan Wilson believes in judicial restraint—applying the law as written and leaving policymaking to the elected representatives of the people. His opponent has taken the opposite approach, using the courts to advance a political agenda. And that is not the role of the courts.
If we continue electing judicial activists, we are further eroding the separation of powers and allowing the Supreme Court to make decisions that belong to the representatives chosen by Montana voters.
Montanans deserve a justice who respects the Constitution, follows the law as written, and lets the people decide the direction of our state. We must elect Judge Dan Wilson to the Montana Supreme Court.
WMA says
Dan Wilson is one of the keynote speakers at this year’s Lincoln-Reagan dinner, the annual GOP love fest. If he gets elected to the Montana Supreme Court, he will spend all of his time on the bench carrying the water for the Republican Party and become the very thing he rails against: an activist judge.
