BPL story time
Preschoolers are invited to meet in the children’s corner of the Bitterroot Public Library on Wednesday, December 21 to enjoy “Let’s Play Again” with storyteller Sally Blevins. Story time begins at 10:30 a.m. and is designed for children 3-5 years of age. You’re all invited to “Stay and Play” with our new building blocks, rice bin, and other open ended activities after Story Time. All story times are free and open to the public. Holiday story time
Join the Library and North Valley Family Center in a holiday celebration on Wednesday, December 21 in the North Valley Library Community Room for Music Makers and Music in Motion Holiday Party from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Young ones ages 1-7 are welcome with an adult. The Elenita Brown Dancers will perform Wednesday, December 21 at 3:30 p.m. at the Bitterroot Valley Living Center in Stevensville. The public is welcome.

Dragon Brigade benefit
Come enjoy Christmas with the taste and sound of Ireland! The Bitterroot Dragon Brigade is hosting a Christmas dinner party on Friday, December 23 at 6 p.m. at the Bedford Building in Hamilton. There will be dancing to live music by “The Voodoos,” an Irish rock group. Beer from the Blacksmith Brewery will be available. There will also be a silent auction. Cost is $20 per person which includes entrance and an authentic Irish dinner. Tickets are available at Wireless Connection and The Canyons Athletic Club in Hamilton and the Blacksmith Brewery in Stevensville. All proceeds benefit the Bitterroot Dragon Brigade.

Episcopal Christmas Eve service
Christmas Eve at St. Stephen’s Episcopal will be celebrated this year at St. Paul’s Episcopal in Hamilton at 6:30 p.m. on Dec. 24th. There will no Sunday service at St. Stephen’s on the 25th, and normal worship schedule will resume on January 1st.
Lutheran Christmas services
Our Savior Lutheran Church, Stevensville, invites the community to receive the joyous message of God’s gift of the Christmas child, our Savior Jesus Christ. Saturday’s 7 p.m. Christmas Eve candlelight service with readings and songs will prepare hearts to welcome God’s only begotten son. Christmas Day’s festival service with the Sacrament of Holy Communion will be celebrated at 9 a.m. on Sunday.
Our Savior, located at 184 Pine Hollow Road, is affiliated with the Lutheran Church––Missouri Synod. To find the church, head south from Stevensville on the Eastside Highway. Turn east at Pine Hollow, the next major intersection past Middle Burnt Fork Road. Cross the tracks and the canal, and the church will be on your left, marked by three crosses.

Community Christmas meal
The King’s Christian Church is sponsoring a Free Community Christmas meal from 4 to 6 p.m. on Christmas Day. You and your family are welcome. Reservations are not needed. However, calling a few days ahead with the number of people attending will be helpful. If you live within the Lolo and surrounding area and you need transportation or a meal delivered to your home, call 273-0682.

Florence Holiday Games
Holiday Games for children 8-12 years old will be held Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, December 27, 28 and 29 from 1 to 3 p.m. at the North Valley Family Center. Take part in activities offering clearly and often fancifully defined problems. Each task is designed so that participants must employ cooperation, cognitive and/or some physical effort to gain solution. The activities promote an individual’s sense of their own competence. The North Valley Family Center is located at 5501 Hwy 93 N, in Suite 3 of the Florence Business Center in Florence behind the Town Pump.

BRVHS annual meeting
The 2012 Bitter Root Valley Historical Society board takes office at the Annual Board Meeting held Wednesday, January 4 at 10 a.m. at the Ravalli County Museum.
