
The Corvallis, Hamilton, and Stevensville track and field teams start their postseason at the Western A Divisionals in Frenchtown on Friday, May 22, and Saturday, May 23.
The three schools have an abundance of track talent and many Bitterroot athletes will come home with divisional titles. The following are some of the athletes to keep an eye on this weekend in Frenchtown.
For Corvallis, Ella Varner has the longest girls triple jump mark in Montana this year, and she will be a top contender in the long jump, 100m, and 200m. Ayden Spencer has top marks in the 100m, 200m, 400m, and discus. Jillian Huls is near the top in the 100m, 200m, and the long jump.
For Hamilton, Anna Lewis has top marks in the 400m, 800m, and 1500m. Taylor Doleac is near the top in the 800m, 1500m, and both hurdles events. Aubrey Korst is one of the top girl’s pole vaulters, and Gracie Werst is one of the top girl’s shot putters.
For Stevensville, Reagan Johnstone is a threat to place in the following six events, the 100m, 200m, 100m hurdles, 300m hurdles, long jump, and triple jump. Sophia Hutchison is near the top in the triple jump and the long jump.
