The Florence Falcons ran over the Thompson Falls Bluehawks, 49-6, in Western B action on Friday. The Falcons put up 42 points in the first half alone. Quarterback Colby Kohlman hit Trevyn Wood from 14 yards out for the first touchdown. Later in the third quarter, Kohlman had a 10 yard scoring run. Florence went to a running game for the rest of their scores. Kyler Alm had a five yard scoring run. Eli Christiansen had two touchdowns. He raced into the end zone from 30 yards out and then had a 26 yard touchdown run. Zach Cather had a 50 yard scoring run. Spencer Jones scored the final touchdown with a one yard push through the line to the end zone. Gavin Zaluski was perfect on all seven PAT attempts. Florence now ranked No. 8 in the state with a 5-2 record.They will play Loyola this Friday night.
Dillon upended Corvallis, 39-18. Corvallis’ Hunter Pinheiro scored twice in the first quarter before the Beavers scored. He had a six yard scoring run and then raced 57 yards for his second TD. Corvallis scored again in the third quarter when Liang Liedle threw a 46 yard pass to Rory Jessop.
Victor fell to Arlee, 60-14. JD Kay threw a 24 yard pass to Skylar Webberson for the first Pirate touchdown. Webberson was Kay’s target again for a 36 yard scoring pass. Gary Gleason caught a pass from Kay for the two-point conversion.
Stevensville lost to Butte Central, 54-14. After a fumble recovery in the third quarter, Yellowjacket quarterback Payten Davids hit Jaren Gum for a touchdown.
Hamilton defeated Frenchtown, 62-42. They now have an 8-0 record and will play Dillon on Friday night. Dillon has a record of 5-1.
