On Tuesday, May 15, the Ravalli County Election Office was contacted by a voter with a concern that she had received the wrong ballot for the upcoming Primary Election. Upon looking at her record it was discovered that a mistake had been made that inadvertently placed five voters on the wrong side of their correct district boundary line.
According to Regina Plettenberg, Election Administrator, the error has been rectified and the affected voters have been contacted to let them know of the discrepancy and that the correct ballots have been mailed to these voters.
Although this is believed to be an isolated incident, the election office would like to remind voters to contact Election staff Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. at 375-6550 with any questions pertaining to this issue, or with any other inquiries about the absentee voting process.
