To employers of Ravalli County: It is with heavy hearts that we share with you the news that effective October 31, 2017, the Bitterroot Job Service (now called Job Service Hamilton) will be closing its doors.
This decision was strictly budgetary and does not reflect in any way the tremendous work and commitment to exceptional customer service that staff have provided during the many years in which we have had the privilege of serving our community.
In the coming weeks, we will be working closely with Job Service Missoula to determine how best to continue to meet the needs of our employers in Ravalli County. Please be assured that your job posting history and other pertinent information will remain in our system and will be accessible to the staff of the Missoula office. As we move through this transition process, there will be many details to be worked out. We’re sure many of you will have questions, so we ask for your patience. We will try to share as much information with you as we can as we move forward through the next several months.
We understand that 2018 will bring more changes to how Job Service Montana will operate. Of particular note will be a move to having employers input their own job postings directly into the MontanaWorks system. We want to reassure you the system is easy to use! We encourage you to log into MontanaWorks at www.hamiltonjobs.mt.gov select “Employer” under “Register for Services” and create an Employer Account with your own user name and password, if you have not already, and begin to familiarize yourself with the process of opening and closing job postings. If you have any questions regarding this process, please don’t hesitate to call us and we can assist you. We believe you will enjoy the benefits of having more control over what you post and when, as well as having the ability to search for potential candidates who meet your qualifications.
It has been an honor for us to work with so many of you during our years with this office. We will leave with many fond memories of the wonderful collaboration we have shared together to serve our common customer and the friendships and camaraderie that have developed in the process.
Thanks so much to all of you.
Vickie Steele, Manager
