Christopher L. Niles

July 18, 2017 by Editor

Christopher L. (Chris) Niles, 63, went home to be with the Lord on July 7, 2017 at his home surrounded by loving family. He lost an extremely courageous battle against cancer. Through this our strength comes from God’s word: “And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. These things have I written unto you that you believe on the name of the Son of God, that ye may know that ye have eternal life.” I John 5:11 & 13

Chris was very blessed to have had a close walk with our maker, his Heavenly Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. His faith was the most important focus of his life and it guided he and his wife Barb through their life together. As it reads in Joshua 24:15: “but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.”

Chris was born in Wisconsin to Prentice and Marcella Niles. He lived the majority of his childhood in the Wisconsin Rapids area. After high school he served his country in the US Marine Corp. His love of animals and the outdoors always filled his life with adventure. This gave Chris great inspiration in using his artistic talents.

In 2005 he was married, and he and his wife Barb decided to move to Montana and settled in Stevensville. It was here that Chris’s love of woodcarving soon grew into a successful business.

He is survived by his wife Barbara, brothers Gary (Sue) Tessmer, David Niles, and Andy Niles, sisters Georgia (John) Eichhorn, Gloria Lipman, Susan Niles, Cheryl (Chris) Christensen and Beth (Sam) Price. He was preceded in death by his parents, and brothers Rodney, Steve and Eugene.

One of Chris’s strongest wishes is that the truth about cancer cures will be uncovered.

Chris, you will be greatly missed.

Condolences and memories may be shared with the family at www.brothersmortuary.com.
