I just attended a meeting with a woefully ignorant organization called Soft Landing. Ms. Poole, the speaker who helped start this, couldn’t answer simple questions and most of her responses were I don’t know about that. She knew nothing about the Quran, Sharia Law or culture of the people she wants to bring to Missoula. She didn’t know how much our government grants were costing this country, or the cost per student to bring them up to speed or teach them English. P.S. it cost the taxpayers of this country $4.1 billion a year and $1,300 per student per month.
Gee, if I have this information you would think this organization would also.
She knew nothing about the increase of rape when these Quran believing people came into cities, nor the massive increase of crime and diseases. In her ignorance she didn’t know about Dearborn MI where Muslims have taken over and it’s now a “no go” zone for those who are not of the Muslim culture. She believed all immigrants were vetted, even though the FBI said they can’t vet them.
Dearborn is a good example how they come here, ruin a community and don’t assimilate. We have had other immigrants in the past, but they didn’t want to kill us, call us infidels and believe raping is justified. Past immigrants learned the language without the help of special grants or costing the city money. I know because my father learned English by himself when he entered grade school. My immigrant relatives didn’t take over cities and threaten those who didn’t believe as they did like Muslims do in many cities here.
Poole knew nothing of any of these things about the people she sponsors nor could she answer simple questions. I would think they should close their doors and realize feelings aren’t what matters but facts, opening your eyes and seeing the truth about bringing dangerous people into our communities.

I won’t waste time trying to get Dee Gibney to realize how ridiculous this letter is. I’ll just point out that this idea that there is sharia law or “no go” zones in Dearborn, MI can be thoroughly debunked by a 30 second internet search. You’d think someone who was going to use Dearborn as an example twice in the same letter would do a simple google search first. Yes, Dearborn is about 30% muslim. It has a crime rate comparable to other cities of similar size. Rapes are no more or less common there. There is absolutely no increase in any diseases of any kind relative to any similarly sized city. People of any religion are free to travel anywhere within the city, just like any other part of the country. This is not some far away place, this is a suburb of Michigan. If you don’t believe the internet, you can just make a few random phone calls to Dearborn and ask people living there about “no go” zones. They won’t know what you’re talking about.
People like Dee Gibney believe fake news like this because deep down they want to believe it. They go on the internet and seek out “news” stories and sites that confirm their long-held beliefs. They ignore or dismiss any story, no matter how legitimate the source, if it conflicts with their preconceived notions.
The fact that Dee Gibney believes this nonsense tells us all everything we need to know. Plus, in previous letters Dee has stated that he/she (sorry, I don’t know which it is) believes the earth is 6000 years old. Dee is not much of thinker.
Dee says
Howard,
READ the paper. Flint MI airport stabbing–by muslim immigrant
Policeman killed in Chicago—by muslim immigrant
Twin Falls–5 yr old raped by muslims
More than 30 muslim immigrants threaten home owners and a female threaten with rape. And yes the the earth is 6,000 years old, I am a Christian and believe what my GOD says. I will take it you don’t and that is your problem. Yes we have a friend who lives in MI and he knows about NO GO ZONES
Mike in Stevensville says
The problem with Dee is ‘selective’: she believes the paper for some things (muslim killings) but not other things (the earth is WAY older than 6000 yrs). The kicker here is her ‘god’ has never said anything to her, but written in a book by someone else.
Howard says
Dee, There are over 3 million Muslims currently living in the US. Surely even you must realize that citing 3 or 4 examples of Muslims committing crimes doesn’t prove the point you’re trying to make. In this country if you’re a victim of murder, rape, or terrorist attack, the perpetrator is much, much more likely to identify as Christian than any other religion. That’s just a simple fact (the type you will ignore b/c it doesn’t fit with your world view). Open up any newspaper and look at the horrible crimes being committed every day. Almost all of them committed by Christians. What does that prove? Absolutely nothing. I guarantee your “friend in MI” knows about No Go Zones because he reads the same crazy websites as you, not because he has experienced them personally. How do I know, because they do not exist.
On the 6000 y/o earth thing, maybe you can point out the bible passage that specifies the exact age of the earth? The truth is the Bible was written a long time ago (by people) and is open to interpretation (again, by people). At one point in history, people interpreted the bible to say that the earth was flat and at the center of the universe. We now know (I hope even you will admit) that it is neither. The bible was written by people who were doing their best to explain things about the world that they weren’t capable of understanding at the time. The 6000 year thing is an interpretation of what they wrote and is not stated specifically.
We can calculate how far away stars are from earth. Some of them are millions or billions of light years away. That means the light we’re seeing from them left the star millions or billions of years ago. If “your God” created them at the same time as the earth (according to you, 6000 years ago), how could we be seeing light they produced over millions of years ago? I’m sure you’ll come up with some answer that involves your magical god doing amazing, but unnecessary things for unknown reasons. Let’s hear it.
