Global warming, or global warning … which is it?
This country – as it is now compared to how I grew up and lived my life over the last 86 years – makes me cringe at what I see is coming in the future. I grew up on a farm in Minnesota with no electricity, no indoor plumbing, no telephone. We farmed with horses until 1940 when we got our first tractor and the REA brought us electricity.
I remember the bad years the early thirties, the drought, the dust storms. I was 4 years old and in my mind I can still visualize the dust blowing and the Russian thistles rolling across the fields and getting caught in the fences so that the dust would pile up on the other side like snow banks.
I remember Dec 7th, 1941, the day Pearl Harbor was bombed and as a result how our country came together. Everybody did their part. 16-year-olds got their parents to sign to let them join the services to defend our country. I doubt that would be the case today.
I don’t remember over my lifetime there ever being the continuous bad weather as has plagued this country over the last few years. Fires, tornados, floods, snow storms, you name it. One after the other with little letup. And if it continues I can only surmise that God has his hand in it as a warning to what’s to come.
Over the last few years this country has been throwing God out of everything. He’s not wanted by the majority it seems. The sexual revolution, the holocaust of the unborn, and the power of the smart phones… all can destroy the minds of our young. And that isn’t all!
I would hope and pray that all of our leaders would have it in their hearts to ask God for guidance in all of their decision making.
