We volunteer at the Stevensville recycling bin once a week because it is our strong belief that recycling is important for the entire country. Volunteers are needed at the bin because even though the bins are well marked there are those that simply throw garbage in the containers or don’t pay attention to the signs as to what can be recycled and were it belongs. Dumpster diving is not the most fun job for volunteers! However, we do it because Montana is behind in recycling and it has to start somewhere. We are proud that our town is willing to be a part of this important venture. We don’t believe that most of the residents of the town of Stevi are even aware that there is/was a petition to keep the recycling bin or we suspect that more of their signatures would be found. There continues to be more and more people using the bin, asking questions and expressing support on our volunteer day. We hope the city will find a way to continue to offer this service to the Stevensville area. It is the right thing to do!
