Resistance is imperative

December 16, 2025 by Guest Post Leave a Comment

by William (Bill) Campbell, Conner

An observation might be that the fox is in the chicken house.

Those promoting the Sheep Creek Mining proposal are basing their activity on selective omissions. No prior experiences resulting in success are cited. Their training, education, membership in special interest groups or absence thereof are not referenced. Substantive proof supporting their allegations is not included. The reliance that the opposition will be unorganized in the face of their program is something offering promise, a weakness. They perceive there is strength in organization that can overcome the opposition and indeed there is an advantage.

Much, indeed the majority, of references given are to the assumed credibility of third persons–few to none of their own. Their assumption is that time, complacency, deceit and politics will give them success.  Complacency is present to a great degree as assumptions are made and acted upon without constructive effort. Deceit in the willful use of misleading references, statements and activities. Politics with the knowledge that the geese follow the food source–irrespective of the trail of waste.

The Governor’s support of the project and blind agreement of those under his influence is a blatant expression of the fact that their interests are not in support of their constituency… They are serving their masters in place of those that placed them in office. Who are their masters? I’ll leave that up to you–the proof’s in the pudding.

Thoughtful, methodical, analysis will reveal that those presenting this proposal are capitalizing on what they perceive to be easy pickin’s. A means by which they can open the door to government involvement and money while having no ultimate accountability.

Multiple entities would be used to disguise the flow and usage of those taxpayer funds. There would be no accountability for the environmental and social wreckage left behind.

The Bitterroot Valley and its residents are being manipulated through their personal beliefs to pay the related costs of a very risky and unnecessary scheme. There are alternatives, the existence of which has been largely avoided. The reasoning and justification to reach outward for components crucial for our social and military defense is but an abandonment of simple logic. Any analysis of that sequencing would disclose the Fauci methodology involved and the disastrous results.

Our very presence and quality of life in a location of rare beauty and circumstance is being subjected to a deceitful demand that we carry the burden of a government failure. What’s right IS right and what’s wrong IS wrong.

Resistance to the Sheep Creek proposal must be defined to the extent that overwhelming disagreement will result in its failure.

We have no alternative. Any other conclusion would be that we collectively bowed our heads and left the room.
