Hamilton took a 4-1 win over Laurel on Saturday. Although Laurel scored early, at the seven-minute mark, it was all Hamilton the rest of the match. Aldo Rodriguez scored off an assist from Drew Brackman at 21 minutes. Just eight minutes later, Rodriguez passed to Tanner Goligoski who booted the ball into the net. In the second half, Nick Turner scored at 64 minutes and again at 71 minutes. Hamilton had eight shots on goal. Daniel Schneider, Hamilton’s keeper, had two saves.
The Hamilton boys’ soccer team lost to Billings Central, 3-0, on Friday. Hamilton had three shots on goal while Billings Central took 11. James Bess had three saves for the Broncs.
Corvallis rolled over Whitefish, 9-0. Emmettt Semple began the scoring onslaught at nine minutes when he received an assist from Juan Pablo Juarez and booted the score. Two minutes later, Dante Venema scored off an assist from Semple. Cayden Ayers was the next Blue Devil to score when he took a Rutger Klein pass and converted it. Juarez scored the final goal of the first half off a Klein assist. In the second half, Ayers scored twice, once at 42 minutes and then again three minutes later. Ives Fershee scored at 52 minutes from a Juarez pass. The final goal was an own goal by the Blue Devils. Justin Catnach had three saves for Corvallis and Ayres had one more. The Blue Devils took 29 shots on goal in the one-sided match.
Hamilton topped Laurel, 5-3. Elise Striebel scored at the 3-minute mark, the 50-minute mark and again at 59 minutes for a hat trick. Lyric Devries assisted Striebel at 50 minutes and Reilly Rostad at the 59-minute goal. Rostad also assisted Gordon on her goal at 32 minutes. Hamilton took 11 shots on goal and Schara had nine saves for the Broncs.
The Hamilton girls lost to Billings Central, 6-1. Kendal Gordon took a pass from Brianna Abrahamsen and booted it in for the only Hamilton score. That was in the 54th minute. Hamilton’s Laramie Schara had three saves. Hamilton took seven shots on goal in the match.
The Corvallis girls lost to Whitefish, 7-2. Corinne Sanderson scored both goals for the Blue Devils who took 17 shots on goal. Kira Doyle had 26 saves.
