The Ravalli County Planning Department is inviting public comment on floodplain application FA-26-24 for work proposed within the FEMA regulated floodplain of the Bitterroot River. The applicant is Catherine Evans. The project is proposing to construct a residential structure elevated on fill including a carport and gravel driveway. The project also includes installing a new drain field outside the floodplain, a new culvert over the Printz Waste Ditch and associated site utilities to serve the residence. All work is within the FEMA Flood Fringe Area and will comply with the Ravalli County Floodplain Regulations. There is no work proposed east of US Highway 93 S near the Bitterroot River. The project site is located at 3063 US Highway 93 S, Darby Tax ID: 1150310 in Section 02, Township 03 North, Range 21 West, Ravalli County. The Ravalli County Floodplain Administrator is currently reviewing this application.
