William ‘Joe’ LeCoure

September 8, 2026 by Editor Leave a Comment

Stevensville  –  William “Joe” LeCoure, born on December 29,1954 in Butte, America.  He left us unexpectedly at his home on August 31, 2026.

Joe lived to the beat of his own drummer, never timely, and always taking the long road.  He never met a stranger and would strike up a conversation with anyone.  He had a soft spot for the elderly, children and the underdog.  He was a hard worker and provider for his family.

Joe enjoyed and was content with the simplest things in life, good candy and pastries, random road trips, projects in the yard, soaking up sunshine and especially spending time with his family.  Joe’s love for his wife, Tanya, was deep and unwavering.  For nearly thirty years, she was his partner, his best friend and his beloved “Tawney”,  He found so much joy in caring for her, even in the little things, like making her a PB & J each day.  She was his person and he loved her with his whole heart.

He fiercely loved and was extremely proud of each of his children, looking forward to their daily talks and texts.  Joe had a deep, unwavering faith in God, starting his day with prayer and devotions, rarely missing a Sunday Mass.

Joe is survived by his wife, Tanya; his children, Adrenne (Harvey), AJ (Olivia) and Liam (Ellie); his granddaughters, Dahlia, Iris and Anne LeCoure; his brothers, Steve (Claudia), Jacques (Roberta), Marc and Tom; his sister, Suzzie (Fred) Thomas;  his mother-in-law, Linda (Jerome) Yoder; along with an abundance of very special nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Gig and Jackie LeCoure; his brothers Bob and Ric LeCoure; his nephews, Scott and Matt LeCoure and Scott Thomas; his father-in-law, Barry Schlecht.

A private family viewing will be held on Thursday, September 3, 2026 from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. at the Whitesitt Funeral Home.  Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, September 4, 2026 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Mary’s Parish.  A committal service will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery.

“Stick and move – don’t get caught flat footed”

Condolences and memories may be shared with the family at www.whitesittfuneralhome.com.
