Proud to support Forstag

September 23, 2026 by Guest Post 20 Comments

by Karen Wickersham, Missoula

Sam Forstag has dedicated his life to fighting for working Montanans. He knows the hard work it takes to make ends meet because he has lived it. He has earned endorsements from Montana unions and has bipartisan support from state leaders.

All that matters, but in these divided times, I want to know the character of the candidate. I look for humility, empathy, intelligence, honesty, and ability to speak in complete sentences without sounding like a far-right talk show host. In an era where the most obnoxious voice owns the room, there is something rare about Sam Forstag who simply communicates like a thoughtful and kind human being. He listens before he speaks. He thinks before he responds.

This country needs fresh thinking. Democracy feels fragile and the loudest voices are determined to divide us. I am a boomer. It is way past time my generation passes the baton. We need younger leadership that appeals not only to our policy preferences, but to our better instincts.

I know Sam well. He is, without question, empathetically rich. What if the answer to years of bluster, corruption, and grievance, is something as simple as decency? The choice is easy. Do we want more bombast from a far right radio talk show host or Sam Forstag, a proven leader who is guided by empathy, humility, intelligence, and honesty?

I’m proud to support Sam Forstag for Western Montana’s US House – he embodies the strong character, moral courage and values Montanans deserve.

Sorry Wayne. You couldn’t come up with James Bond’s Service number if I spotted you the “00”.
And Nasa will land on Mars before you provide an actual fact.

Since you are so hungry for facts, here are a few about your favorite boot lickee:
Trump is the only felon elected to the presidency.
Trump is the only president found legally liable for sexually assaulting a person.
Trump illegally tore down almost half of the White House.
He pardoned hundreds of violent insurrectionists.
Almost one third of our $40 trillion national debt happened during his presidency.
And I could go on and on and on….

We know the obvious, DOJ, FBI, and the Jan. 6 committee were all given pardons due to their party line strict honesty. Since 2015 the party in power (Democrats) illegally had surveillance on our current president. Televised raid on Trumps home and a mere photo of Joe’s Corvette wasn’t hard to understand the SWAMP’s role. Jan 6th was known for entrapment with Pelosi burping her obligations and near 300 inside FBI Agents inviting our residents in! Media still eludes that Trump had no peaceful message to his supporters?? Trusting any judgement premeditated by New York officials is your thought pattern.

          Kevin,
Seems like your response is some kind of obscure effort to disprove the facts I listed. Not sure what Biden’s corvette or Pelosi’s burping had to do with anything.
But I will close with Trump’s peaceful message on Jan. 6:
“We fight like hell. And if you don’t fight like hell, you’re not going to have a country anymore.”

Well if we’re going to go historically Gomez, I’ll bring up the multitude of racial crimes committed in the South by Democrats in the 60’s, but you see I live in the present. My stuff is from the past year. Some of Your garbage is from before the internet. Try and keep up

Cav. Historically, history is not going to be kind to those who enabled the orange imbecile.

You bought it. You own it.

      Have a nice day.

But here’s the thing, they weren’t. There has only been one attempt at Trump this year. One is too many, but only one happened. The others were in 2024 or earlier, and a couple of them came from registered Republicans who were upset about him hiding the Epstein files or other matters.

      Charley Kirk was last year.

“Conservative Supreme Court justices receiving death threats”

      That was in 2022.

      “Conservative journalists receiving death threats.”

Violence is never acceptable. Now Google “Journalists receiving death threats” and see what comes up. You’re welcome.

      “Who’s attacking ICE? Leftists.”

Considering that it’s citizens being murdered by ICE & not the other way around you might want to rethink that.

      Again, violence is never acceptable.

What a bunch of Bloviating this is. First off the Far Left is 1,000 times more corrupt, disruptive and violent than the far right. FACT. Second Forstag is a lobbyist, which is a nice word for Corrupt. Third, the left wrote the book on yelling and talking over people with their self righteous, know it all (but know nothing) attitude, so if you want to shut down the obnoxious voices, vote for Aaron Flint.
Lastly, you’re from Missoula, people here in the Bitterroot need a voice from Missoula like we need a hole in the head.

Aaron Flint is a professional talking head endorsed by a convicted felon, coward and serial adulterer. I will vote for a smoke jumper, union organizer and, yes, lobbyist over a Trump boot licker and day.

Wow. So surprising. Brainwashed, liar Wayne is going to vote for another Democrat who promises to fix the same things they’ve promised for 45 years, and NEVER DO ANYTHING.
Have fun in fantasy land. You could move to Missoula so you can be amongst the rest of the Dolts.

“Right-wing extremist violence has been deadlier than left-wing violence in recent years. Based on government and independent analyses, right-wing extremist violence has been responsible for the overwhelming majority of fatalities, amounting to approximately 75% to 80% of U.S. domestic terrorism deaths since 2001. Illustrative cases include the 2015 Charleston church shooting, when white supremacist Dylann Roof killed nine Black parishioners; the 2018 Tree of Life synagogue attack in Pittsburgh, where 11 worshippers were murdered; the 2019 El Paso Walmart massacre, in which an anti-immigrant gunman killed 23 people. The 1995 Oklahoma City bombing, an earlier but still notable example, killed 168 in the deadliest domestic terrorist attack in U.S. history.”
