The Ravalli County Planning Department is inviting public comment on a floodplain permit to install fiber optic cable within the regulatory floodplain of the Bitterroot River. The applicant is ADB Company. The project will install a network of buried fiber optic cable and conduit at two bridge crossings. The crossing are 43 feet downstream of the Angler’s Roost Bridge on US-93 Highway 93 S and 15 downstream of Old Darby Road Bridge. All work will occur within existing utility easements (right-of-way). Information regarding this permit is available at the Ravalli County Planning Department at 215 S 4th St, Suite F in Hamilton. Written comments may be mailed, hand-delivered or emailed (planning@rc.mt.gov) and must be received by 5:00 pm, September 2, 2026. Reference application # FA-26-10.
