Sarah Jeanne Seltzer passed away on May 21, 2026, at the age of 44 after a year long battle with cancer. Born Sarah Jeanne Bailey on July 24, 1981, in Butte, Mt.
She was raised in Missoula by her parents Merry and Kurt King alongside her sister Kate and Brother Ethan. She married her high school friend, Sean Seltzer, in 2004. She got her bachelor’s degree in sociology from the University of Montana while raising their two wonderful children, Tristen and Ella. They moved to Hamilton in 2010. Sarah went on to get her master’s degree in clinical rehabilitation and mental health counseling. She was passionate about her work in vocational rehabilitation as the DET Deputy Administrator. Sarah was driven to better herself and her family while helping others along the way.
