The Corvallis School District is proud to announce that Laura Carrasco has been named the Montana Council of Administrators of Special Education (MCASE) 2025–2026 Special Educator of the Year. This prestigious recognition honors outstanding special educators whose instructional practices create effective, inclusive, and successful learning experiences for students.

Laura was selected for her dedication to engaging diverse learners through purposeful, collaborative instruction and meaningful lessons that positively impact student learning, growth, and outcomes.
In addition to her work in the classroom, Laura is recognized as a strong advocate for students with disabilities within both the school and the broader community. Her leadership and commitment to excellence in the field of special education continue to make a lasting difference for students, families, and colleagues alike.
Laura will be formally recognized at the School Administrators of Montana Evening of Excellence in Helena on June 11, 2026. The event celebrates the outstanding contributions of Montana educational leaders and will honor 28 exceptional educators representing various areas of expertise from across the state.
