The 12/10 Star contains a plethora of LTEs in opposition to Sheep Creek mining. Many good points are made and I am in agreement with them. They brought to mind an 11/26 Sheep Creek Star article where Chairman of U.S. Critical Materials Harvey Kaye is quoted as saying, “Our first priority is shareholder value creation.” That is not my first priority and suspect it is not a big concern to Bitterrooters who do not hold blocks of stock in that company. It strikes me that Critical Materials is willing to break our eggs to make their omelette. I can only hope that the State and Federal people who represent me have the huevos to take this pan off the fire.
