Kudos to Star

December 30, 2025 by Guest Post 2 Comments

by Sheryl Olson, Hamilton

I commend the Bitterroot Star and specifically, Michael Howell, for his “Environmental Journal” regarding the Sheep Creek Mine, and his “words of caution and a plea.” I rest easier knowing that Michael is here to watch over the Sheep Creek mine development and condense and interpret for us the reality of what is happening. All valley residents need to be paying attention.

I agree. If you want to see the progression and details of this awful mine proposal over the years read Michael’s articles.

Larry – its as if you read my mind. The B – STAR has been fabulous for the articles on the mine and the corruption by the company that is a shell or front operation for private investors. I looked up their financials – their stock was worth .28 cents a share and their financials amounted to a paltry 7.6 million. NO company in their right minds would think about doing “drilling” with that low of income. And where did they get the IDIOT spokesperson who stupidly stated that it would be NON INVASIVE if they engaged in drilling in the mines. If that’s the case, let’s put his head on a table and do do some drilling to see if he has brains? That’s non invasive or is it?
