Trump should be applauded

February 12, 2025 by Guest Post

by Jerry Esmay, Stevensville

Wow! The liberals are going nuts over what President Trump is doing – hundreds of Presidential orders to implement his campaign promises. What is happening is pretty simple in my opinion. He is implementing what he promised to do during his campaign. Unlike many politicians who make promises but never implement them, he is keeping his word.

He and his helpers have uncovered and documented the squandering of our tax dollars at the USAID office and other places. He is also starting to seal off our borders, deporting criminals who have illegally entered our country, and beginning to deal with some of our international threats.

So, for those of us who supported him, we are elated and applauding his every pen stroke. If you care to hear the positive side of what is happening, you need to watch Fox News as the “main stream media” is simply unable to understand what is happening.

Just maybe, Trump will save this country.

Well, to vote with Russia and North Korea in the U.N. settles a question that should not be ignored. It was a shameful act and the only republican with a spine was Senate Armed Services Chair Roger Wicker (R-Miss.) No Montanan in Washington stood up for what is right. Only one had a spine in this vote. This is one of the reasons why I am no longer a republican. Not a democrat either. If we still had a republican party I would still support it. As it is I am ashamed of our country. There is no longer a republican party.

Mike Miller. Claire brought whataboutism into this, not me. So, do you want Trump to be treated as fairly as the right treated Biden or do you believe that Trump is so fragile that he needs coddling and special treatment?

Since Trump was inaugurated, gas in Hamilton has gone up 40 cents a gallon.
Eggs are more expensive than ever.
    Inflation is rising again.
Economists of all types and nationalities warn that tariffs will wreak havoc on our economy.
A array of terrible candidates have been confirmed as cabinet secretaries.
Not sure why we should applaud.

Gomez – when Biden was “in office?” 40% of the time he was in Delaware.

In the 4 years Joe Biden was in office, he spent a total of 109 days in either Delaware or at Camp David. In contrast, in the 4 years Donald Trump was in office, Trump visited or stayed at one or more of his properties on 394 separate days. Most of that time, 134 days, was spent at Mar-A-Lago playing golf.

Like I said, I want to treat Trump just the same way that the right treated Biden. You’re OK with fair & balanced treatment, aren’t you Clair?

Gomez, what’s your source for that 109 days?

I simply Googled “How many days did Biden spend in Delaware when in office?” A ton of stuff comes up, with honestly ,numbers all over the place, but then again, the same is true for when you Google “How many days did Trump spend at Mar-A–Lago?”

You’re right, Gomez; there are numbers all over the place. For example, on September 7, 2024 AOL did a story titled “Biden’s astonishing vacation total revealed — prez took 48 years worth of leave in 4” where it states “The 81-year-old commander-in-chief has racked up 532 vacation days in less than four years — about 40% of the 1,326 days he’s been in office.”

To answer your usual dodging “whataboutism”, I’m sure there are varied numbers for Trump, too, but that isn’t the subject of Clair’s question to you. It was a simple question that you failed to answer.

I want to be fair about this so I hope that the left treats Donald Trump with the exact some amount of dignity, fairness and respect that Donald Trump, Fox News and the right wing media entrainment complex treated Joe Biden for the entire 4 years that he was in office. No more, no less. Sound fair?
