Our founding fathers, like John Hancock, Samuel Adams, Thomas Jefferson, Robert Paine, John Penn and Benjamin Franklin, wrote and signed the Declaration of Independence due to the many injustices of King George III. In 1777 they listed a “long train of abuses and usurpations” (the unlawful or violent seizure of a throne, power or government) that King George had unfairly committed towards the colonists.
They stated that King George was a tyrant because “He has obstructed the Administration of Justice, by refusing his Assent to Laws for establishing Judiciary powers.” And, “He has made judges dependent on his will alone, for the tenure of their offices…”.
Likewise, Trump packed the Supreme Court with partisan loyalists who are protecting him from prosecution for his many crimes. And he is supported by a Congress packed with Republican partisans who support his lawlessness and refuse to impeach him and remove him from office.
Our founding fathers also said about King George, “He has abdicated government here, by declaring us out of his protection and waging war against us.” Trump has repudiated and renounced government authority, laws and responsibility and stated he has the right to control and dictate his will over theirs.
Trump did not win the election, he stole it by Republicans blocking voting, by gerrymandering voting districts and lying to and confusing the masses. Trump wages war against anyone who questions his will or authority be it a Republican or Democrat. To further his control, Trump appoints a cabinet full of inept, unqualified and corrupt personnel devoted to his benefit, not the country’s.
Our founding fathers stated, “He (King George) has excited domestic insurrections amongst us…”. Trump instigated the January 6th insurrection and called it a “day of love” and called those who destroyed the capital “unbelievable patriots”.
Donald Trump is very much like King George. A Prince (person in power) whose character is thus marked by every act which may define a Tyrant, is unfit to be the ruler of a free people.”
In 1776, King George made a speech in Parliament saying America and the people there were “my subjects” and “my kingdoms” and “my colonies.”
Like King George, Trump claims the secret documents he stole from the White House as his property. He now has his own Congress and Supreme Court supporting his self serving fascist agenda.
Trump boasted in his statement in July 2019 that the Constitution gave him untamed power. “I have an Article II, where I have the right to do whatever I want as president.” And we all know what Trump wants: control, money, power, believers in his demented lies and absolute loyalty.
Trump believes he is “the chosen one” and demands absolute power just like in his failed businesses, and now as president he seeks to obliterate all constraints. He is making King George III look like a saint. The kind of saint just like our forefathers wrote about in the Declaration of Independence.

The problem with this TDS rant is “illogical thinking” and “false comparison.” Mark needs to take a course in critical thinking. If he had compared a president such as Biden to TRUMP then he might have made sense. As it stands now….utter inanity.

Trump is a person in power. Elected to be in power! Consequences of having the weakest, woke, joke to ever be moved into the White House by deception for the past four years. After the Harris cartoon you Dems tried to pull off, your stunt to cover the idiot proved complete internal and media deception. Run for cover Mark. When the sun shines your RED face will soon blister.

I often wondered how Biden got 80 million votes when he could hardly get anyone to come to his rallies. I wonder how many votes were from illegals which are allowed by the NVRA, National Voter Registration/Rights Act, or any of the follow-on acts that don’t require registration 30 days ahead of time, residence of at least 30 days in the county where a person voted, presenting an “acceptable” ID such as driver’s license or birth certificate, etc. etc.

Hi Mike, thanks for commenting on my article in the Star. The majority of my article were quotes from Donald Trump, King George and the the Declaration of Independence. In order to keep my article precise and under the word limits, I did not give references to each quote. The answers to your questions require some research on your part. I did my historical research and gave you the facts which are documented evidence. You should do the same so you understand the truth about Trump and his actions. Your statement, “Quotes without context is like taxation without representation”. is wrong, Quotes which are factual are true whether they have context or not. Taxation without representation has nothing to do with truth or the facts, instead it is a matter of justice and fairness. After you get some documented facts together to prove your point, I would be glad to talk to you again.

All of these things that you have stated Trump has exploited to gain power are all tactics used and largely made possible by the democratic party. I have made many arguments over the years warning democrats about the dangers of the consolidation of power that their party has endorsed and pushed for the past few decades. Their rebuttal has always been “we have to do this to stop the fascists” and my response has always been “what happens when the very people you are fighting against now have all the power that you gave yourselves.” Well, it looks like they are about to find out and all I can say is “I told you so……..” Also just so were clear I am not a republican.

Hi Gary, thanks for responding to my article in the Star. In my article I use many historical facts and quotes that are documented. I also used many quotes from Donald Trump which are a matter of record. In other words my opinions were based on truth and actual historical facts which are documented. My comments and observations were based on these facts,
You made claims regarding the Democratic Party and what they were doing without any evidence or proofs. You are welcome to express your feelings, its a free country. However you have given no evidence or proof of your claims and I cannot regard them as valid or factual.

Write more letters to the editor Gary – the BS has problems with publishing “conservative” or as I call it, common sense points of view. I notice they often post letters from Fahnenstock-Thomas and other liberal posters…but not too often from those who dispute the liberal tone and view of this newspaper.
Tracy Wood says
They leave many of my responses out as well. They would not even be considered rebuttals to the original BS that they did publish. Just questions and not lengthy yet they dont publish. HMMMMM
Mike Miller says
Yes, the BS certainly does. I just got censored trying to send a more detailed response supporting your statement.

There is so much here to unpack but I will comment only on your Article II rant. So what was Trump talking about? What was the context? We can assume from this particular speech, that he was referring to the fact that he’s allowed to fire executive branch officers if he wants to. In other words, firing James Comey was within his Article II powers, so it can’t represent obstruction of justice. Quotes without context is like taxation without representation.
