Boy, what a week it’s been since our US National Election Day ended last week without an insurrection or claims of voter fraud. This week, our incoming leader, The Orange Julius, started choosing his cabinet for his TV Show “The Apprentice.” Whoops, I mean his candidates for some of the Executive Departments.
While watching in disbelief at some of his choices, I was reminded of the idiom “Be careful what you wish for” (because you may not get what you really wanted). A case in point: The Trumpster’s three recent cabinet picks: Pete Hegseth (Dept. Defense), Tulsi Gabbard (National Intelligence) and Matt Goetz (US General Attorney).
The problem is that none of these people are qualified for the positions they would be heading. One of them is a weekend host for Fox News TV, the other not very intelligent and Mr. Goetz by far the worst of all. He has several charges pending against him that involve improper sexual activities with young women.
Do we really want a person like that coming into the White House next year? Oh wait, I forgot that we’ll be getting a similar deviant January 20, 2025 who will be in charge of all these misfits. Let’s Make America Great Again!

Practical experience as a qualification has not worked so far, perhaps it’s time we went with something untried until now, people with real skin-in-the-game backgrounds, as for Matt Goetz, the DOJ closed that investigation without filing charges. I for one can’t wait to see what these “misfits” do to shake the tree of liberty…Orange Julius, shaken not stirred.

1. Pete Buttigieg — his only qualifications for the job was a failed presidential campaign and time spent as a university-town mayor
2. Jennifer Granholm, Energy Secy – NO energy background
3. National security adviser, Jake Sullivan, who worked as a lawyer previously -NO relevant experience or qualification.
4. Xavier Becerra – Secretary of the Department of Health and Human Services -NO public experience – he is a lawyer
and my favorite
5. Jared Bernstein, Chair of Council of Economic Advisors – not an economist, Bachelor’s degree in music.

More glaring is “Economic Advisor” Bernstein, could not explain what the purpose of issuing bonds by the U.S. Government is.

Don’t forget Ketanji Brown Jackson, a Supreme Court “justice” since 2022, who could not explain what a woman was when asked the question, “What is a woman?”
