Disturbing Democrat decisions

August 20, 2024 by Guest Post

by Jerry Esmay, Stevensville

I feel a need to update my last letter from a month ago where I visited several topics related to our upcoming Presidential election and the war in Israel.

Much to my surprise (some would just call me naïve) the Democratic voters seem to be okay with the fact that their Presidential candidate was selected as a result of a “coup” by the party elites (the same group who had assured us that Biden did not have mental problems). That is, Kamala Harris was chosen as the Democratic candidate without the voters having an opportunity to vote. As I write this, Kamala has yet to hold a news conference nor has she published anything which shows her current position on the major issues of our time – open borders, inflation, crime, International policy, etc. However, if you listen to her campaign speeches, she seems to have reversed her previous positions on just about everything – now talks tough on border control, going to get the prices down on everything, tougher on crime, etc. As a result of these reversals, someone has given her the nickname, Khameleon Harris.

Before I leave candidate Harris, I need to comment on her pick for a running mate – Tim Walz. Concerns are already circulating about his murky past. While he deserves thanks for serving his country in the National Guard, he has been accused of many misdeeds and wrongdoings. He has claimed to have retired from the Guard as a Command Sergeant Major which was not true; he claimed to have carried an assault rifle in combat, also not true; and then, he is accused of “weaseling” out of going to Iraq with his unit when they were deployed.

Also, Walz’s record while Governor of Minnesota shows him to be ultra-liberal to include the mindset that riots are okay as the participants probably have a valid reason for doing so. He refused to send in the Minnesota National Guard when Minneapolis was being trashed and burned during the George Floyd riots.

In my opinion, we are on the verge of World War III in the Mid-East as we await Iran’s response to recent Israeli actions. Not to worry as our senile President obviously has everything under control since he spent the last weekend sun-bathing on the beach. This just continues to beg the question of who is running this country?

I close with a revisit to the attempted assignation of former President Trump. I cannot believe that no one in the Secret Service has been fired over this debacle. To use politically incorrect language, it appears that whoever was in charge was a complete idiot. I wonder if we will ever know exactly what happened here.

    Cult
A cult is a group requiring unwavering devotion to a set of beliefs and practices which are considered deviant outside the norms of society, which is typically led by a charismatic and self-appointed leader who tightly controls its members. Wikipedia

This explains why you can’t reason with the supporters of DJ Trump,

Wayne, who has never voted for anybody without a D by their name, finds it outrageous your supporting Trump. Big surprise. I’m voting for Trump because the alternative is a complete and utter joke. Montana will handily vote for Trump and the 7-8 left wing nuts that constantly post on here will change none of that, however, they do offer comic relief from a relatively stressful world.

      Alan,
Wrong. I voted for Richard Nixon in 1972, the first year I was old enough to vote. Learned my damn lesson early on. Will never vote for a Republican ever again. If a candidate shared my values, they wouldn’t be a Republican.

Oh Alan, your stinging criticism really hurts…..not. I wear your label as a badge of honor. In a sea of MAGA red I’m even prouder to be part of the winning team. After the landslide, (outside of Montana) this wing nut will sleep well knowing my vote aligned with the majority of Americans. Just as it had in the four previous presidential elections.

Unwittingly, you almost formed a factual statement by placing “Trump” & “complete and utter joke” within the same sentence.

      Keep trying.

    Jerry,
Once again you have proven what a spineless Trump boot-licker you are.. Typing on the digital keyboard of my tablet is too slow so I won’t waste my time correcting all your fallacies but I will address a few of them.
A coup? Want to see what an attempted coup looks like? Review the extensive video coverage of Jan. 6, 2021, much of it shot by the rioters themselves.
Convincing a person to do the right thing, personally, professionally and patriotically is not a coup. How would they force Biden to step down, threaten to vote for Trump if he refused to comply? That is ridiculous, and you know it. Use the 25th amendment? A majority of cabinet members would never agree with such a drastic step, and even if they did, that would remove him from the presidency, not his candidacy. No, Biden, a lifelong public servant, realized it was the honorable thing to do. And he did it.
Kamala has addressed every point you lied about. Watch real news occasionally and learn something.
Finally, who do you think called out the National Guard to deal with the riots in Minnesota? Hint: It wasn’t Trump.
