The cost of living is way up for all residents of Montana. Now is not the time to pass levy’s or raise taxes no matter how noble the cause. Property tax, rent, water and sewer bills, food, gas, utilities, health care hay, firewood, ice cream, etc., etc. are at record breaking levels! The voters rejected a property tax reduction, a sales tax won’t fly, and omitted from news stories, many folks are leaving Montana to seek jobs elsewhere. Our elected officials should be creative in finding ways to LOWER our tax and cost of living. I for one will not be voting for any incumbents, levies, or budget increases until I see results. A semi-reTIRED taxpayer.
