Jerry Esmay wrote a cogent, truthful, and tremendously insightful assessment of the state of America and Americans today. Esmay is a “thinking man” who seems to judge a person by his or her character and achievements, not their religion or race. But, what was his main thesis for those who denigrated his thoughts online in the paper’s digital opinion section?
First, they were NOT careful readers as their comprehension of what Esmay wrote was wrong. Their conclusions were so far off base, it was shocking to read them.
Second, we must start speaking out on issues that we feel are harming us and our country. Among them are the following which Esmay cited – denigration of Christian and Jewish religions, hatred of the police, the borders, law and order, judges who are activists rather than jurists of truth and proof, the destruction of history and statues that represent eras in our country from which to learn lessons, schools teaching gender ideology rather than math and reading, and so on and so forth. Sadly, there are too many to cite, and that says a lot about us, doesn’t it?
I did a poll at the doctor’s office today – of the twenty people I spoke to, I asked, “Are you upset about the cost of food? Gas? About China buying land around our military bases, and Japan buying our steel companies, and Biden allowing thousands to come into our country illegally?” Every single one of them said, “yes.” One man whined, “But what can I do about it? “
When I mentioned that there is something we can do about it, and that the Founders wanted us to do and said, “Let’s try an article V convention of states,” the man recoiled and said, “…Oh, no, that’s dangerous.” But when I pressed him to explain what was dangerous about it, he couldn’t cite an answer. Sadly, the man didn’t know history, he didn’t know the Constitution, and most importantly, he didn’t know Article V. For those who do want to learn, go to https://articleVinfocenter and start reading all the different articles posted there. They will open your eyes and your minds.
As Esmay points out, if we do not learn, then history repeats itself. Let’s get together and do something about the Federal Government. Go to
https://conventionofstates.com and sign the petition to the state legislature to set up an application to join with 19 other states and do it today!
Then stop asking, why doesn’t someone do something – YOU BE THE SOMEONE! Speak out…as Esmay urged. Don’t let apathy kill Montana or the country!
