A recent weekend offered not only the Regal Ensemble playing classical music at the Victor Performing Arts Center, but also Bitterroot Baroque, with over fifteen participants, playing baroque music at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Hamilton.
I know there’s lots of live music of other kinds in the Valley, but since I lean classical, I’m most aware of these and think it’s amazing and wonderful to find such quality here.
Thank you to all performers and supporters!

Hey Mary – there are all kinds of entertainment, great music, etc in the Bitterroot – just read the Bitterroot Star or other newspapers and read the posts at the Coffee Cup or BJ’s or The Frontier Cafe to learn about them. You can also take classes in the Constitution and Civics for adults in the Corvallis adult education classes. You can volunteer to work with the Convention of States and get our state to be # 20 to join with 33 or more other state to see the Constitution in action and what the FOUNDING FAThERS wanted us to when our government is out of control. You learn how to shear sheep, or pet a cow, or even feed a carrot to a cow and for young ones that is a fabulous way to teach them about animals. Ever see an 8 year old squeal with delight when that long gray tongue comes from a cow comes out to take a tasty treat offered? HECK not only 8 year old but adults who have never been exposed to “rural living” and animals other than dogs, cats, birds and rabbits and perhaps alligator too by folks who use them as pets. Why don’t YOU offer some book discussions on books that you know a lot about? There’s lots to do here and that’s why we LOVE this valley. If you haven’t done so, go tour the homes on the home tour this weekend and go to the one in DARBY – the home is gorgeous and very “Montana” but step outside and see the view – that is the BETTER than music of any kind! The view from that house is simply amazing! You could sit on their back patio, listen to chamber music and have a great cup of coffee, a cold beer or a glass of wine and thank GOD that you had the chance to see it and live it. YEP – like you say we are glad we live in Montana whether to listen to music or view God’s creation.
