In response to Helen Sabin’s letter in the Bitterroot Star 9-13-23 edition “Losing the valley to devious forces,” I have one simple question for Mrs. Sabin. Helen, with the amount of detail you shared regarding the incident with the Republican Women’s booth at the Ravalli County Fair, and as an eye-witness to the event on Thursday, August 31, 2023, I can confidently state that you were not there.
I must ask: Mrs. Sabin, did you glean this information from the sheriff’s report on the incident? -or- did you rely on what others told you occurred? This question must be answered honestly due to the dire claims you have made regarding the “devious forces” influence on our valley.

Doug or T-bone (as you are called,) I did better than talk to eye witnesses like you who caused the problem at the fair. I talked directly with two other eye witnesses who have no agenda and do NOT swallow the John Birch propaganda like you do and to the two legislator who were actually treated so shabbily by the Birchers LIKE YOU that I didn’t need to be there. .They all confirmed that you should have been outside at the Birch tent if you were going to pass out Birch propaganda materials. It was you and others the Sheriff ejected wasn’t it? YEP – that’s Tbone for you – whining at the disturbance he created.
