Local election integrity is intact. The county commission held an election integrity hearing June 5th.
Fox News is paying $787 million for propagating the 2020 election lie. This national lie was on display at this hearing. Our democracy, while not perfect, is working as witnessed by this hearing, held at the request of a vocal minority. A commissioners’ meeting is the wrong grievance forum; Montana elections are defined by state law, not county authority and performed by the Clerk and Recorder’s Office. This minority national supported group have had their say, but they can’t have their way as their position is not based on reality. No election defects have been found nationally, let alone in Ravalli County.
This minority is part of the County and State Republican Party super majority. They offer nothing new while their party holds the majority of state and local elected offices. They want us to believe county employees, volunteer poll workers, all being your friends and neighbors, working according to state law, somehow corrupted the election integrity of the very election their party won. And further, this unbelievable corruption was repeated in all 56 Montana counties. This is their local lie!
During the 2021 legislative session, four election bills became law. These 2021 laws are presently on appeal before the Montana Supreme Court. The just completed 2023 legislative session passed 10 related election integrity bills. Our democracy is at work.
I ask that local election support be confirmed through ”support resolutions” from elected county office holders, boards, irrigation districts, city councils, school boards and individuals. If you are an elected officeholder in Ravalli County please send a “support resolution” to the Clerk and Recorder’s office. As an individual write a similar resolution.
This is a sample for your use.
“(County elected identity or individual) resolves to support and reinforce the positive efforts made by the Ravalli County Clerk and Recorder’s office, their personnel and volunteer election workers during the past difficult election cycles. We are confident in your execution of Montana law to secure and verify correct election results. Thanks for a job well done.”
I ask that you help confirm election integrity to Ravalli County voters. Take the opportunity to highlight the local election reality, support our local County Clerk and Recorder’s Office.

Good letter, thank you. These are people who have been taken in by con artists and hucksters because they tell them what they want to hear.. Unfortunately for them, what they want to hear and what is actually true are often two entirely different things.
