I have had several people ask me to define the John Birch Society to them. In my search of how they came about and their activities, I found “Wrapped in the Flag” by Claire Connor, who describes what it was like growing up in a “America’s Radical Right” home, and how she escaped. A good friend found a 1959 Blue Book of the founding John Birch Society (3rd printing from the original 1958 Blue Book). The Blue Book listed the names of all the rich people that went together to finance the John Birch Society.
One of the founding members of the JBS was Fred Koch of Wichita, Kansas. To research Fred, I read the book “Sons of Wichita – How the Koch Brothers Became America’s Most Powerful and Private Dynasty.” The sons of Fred “think tanked” the Libertarian Party into existence, and they continually try to destroy the Real Republican Party, which believes in and stands for Law and Order. The JBS and the Libertarians are the Ultra-Right, who have gone so far right that they have bonded with the Left. Despite calling themselves Conservative, Constitutional, Christians, they are no longer conservative, nor Constitutional and certainly have no Christian “fruit” to display. Whatever the means, to them justifies the end. And they hate anyone that is a Real Republican, delighting in trying to destroy them with name calling and slander.
Another enemy that has come on board to destroy the Real Republican Party and our American Republic form of Government is a group called “Tactical Civics.” The Constitution of the U.S. of A. was taught in schools and the Beardan School was accepted as a standard historical interpretation until the 1950’s when Robert E. Brown and Forrest McDonald challenged Beardan, and formed a group with the saying “The Constitution is the Solution.” Hillsdale College in Michigan has the same slogan, “The Constitution is the Solution,” but Hillsdale’s slogan has been high-jacked by the JBS, Libertarian and “Tactical Civics” people, and Hillsdale College is not connected to the Ultra-Right.
The Ultra-Right groups are also trying to destroy our Montana State Constitution. They pick out what Articles & Sections of our Constitution that they want to change to say what they want them to say. In our current Montana State Legislature they have Senate and House bills that propose those amendments to our Montana State Constitution that would be permanently there, in order to give them the POWER as citizens to govern any citizen they do not agree with! They want citizen grand juries (to which they would be appointed) in order to arrest anyone (even elected officials they do not want or agree with), they would be judge, and jury, and decide what to do with you! It is the most anti-Constitutional movement that wants to rule and reign.
All three of these fore-mentioned groups are political cults. They are very dangerous, leading a mob that has no thinking power or ability to stand alone.
Meanwhile, please encourage your elected Legislators who are working to keep us safe, secure from poor legislation, and who make HUGE sacrifices of time, money, and family time. They need to hear from you in positive support to counteract the Ultra-Right attacks against the Real Republicans.
