I want to thank all the Republicans for voting for the “Parents Rights Bill.” This bill provides for the parents to have the right to know what their children are being taught, to be heard, to see the school budget and spending to protect their children’s privacy and to keep their children safe. The bill would require schools to publish educational materials such as catalogs of books kept in libraries and course curricula. Other provisions in this bill establish parental rights to request meeting with educators, address school board meetings and review district budgets.
It is very telling that NOT one Democrat voted in favor of this bill and it shows how little they care about their own children or about children in general and their education. It appalls me that they have no regard for children or parents, only the teachers union.
