I again feel the need to talk about the invasion at our southern border. Several million illegal immigrants have entered our country in the last two years; there have also been several hundred-thousand additional entries called “gottaways” (we know they entered but have no idea who they were or where they went); and, our country is being flooded with illegal drugs coming up from Mexico.
Our Democratic leaders continue to assure us that, “… the southern border is secure.” As I’ve stated previously, I consider this to be a treasonous attitude. As I write this, our citizens remain in a highly agitated state waiting for more information on what is going on with these “spy” balloons. I agree that we have valid reason to be worried about the breach of our airspace, but why aren’t we equally upset about the southern border?
I’m a Vietnam War veteran and remember the societal upheaval our country experienced associated with the unnecessary killing of our young military men and women for an ill-defined war. Over 50,000 of our young citizens gave up their lives during a period of approximately fifteen years. Well, compare that with what has happened over the last two years: approximately 200,000 of our young citizens have been killed by illegal drugs (primarily Fentanyl) which have come across the southern border. Equally troubling to me is that the ingredients for these drugs are coming from China!
I contend that we are already at war with China, and while their Spy Balloon program has to be dealt with, the southern drug war is an immediate, greater threat.
