Jug Beck & John Fisher
The wrestling teams from Stevensville, Corvallis, and Hamilton competed in Missoula on January 13th & 14th in the Jug Beck Rocky Mountain Classic and the John Fisher tournaments. The invite-only Jug Beck is one of the toughest tournaments in the Pacific Northwest and features the top wrestlers from Montana, as well as some wrestlers from Idaho, Washington, and Wyoming. The John Fisher features JV teams and those who lost out of the Jug Beck tournament. Given the quality of the field, placing at the Jug Beck is quite an accomplishment. There were two Bitterroot Valley wrestlers who placed in the Jug Beck. Jesse Anson of Hamilton and Seth Allen of Corvallis finished 7th and 8th respectively in the 132 weight division.
