The real crooks

January 3, 2023 by Guest Post

by Jerry Esmay, Stevensville

Have you been following the latest “Ponzi” scandal in our stock market? I’m sure most readers are aware that a lot of investors have lost a lot of money over the last few years by investing in this cryptocurrency fad. Turns out folks were fooled into believing their investments were secure and were based upon a solid foundation. Bottom line – billions of dollars seem to have disappeared in some sort of a “smoke & mirrors” crooked operation.

How many readers have paid any attention to the latest year-end government funding package that our nation’s leaders just pushed through at the last minute (some would argue, the last second) in order to keep the federal government from shutting down? In my opinion, this is a much bigger crooked scheme than the cryptocurrency scandal (we are talking trillions here as compared to billions above). Here are a few of the reasons for my opinion:

Congressional leaders (primarily Democrats but some high-ranking Republicans were also involved) purposefully held discussion/debate on this legislation so that things could be kept secret until after the last federal election. This also made sure that there would be very little to no time for debate/discussion to take place since the funding due date was at hand and the Congressional members would be intent on going home for the holidays.

So, the end result is a 4,000 page bill/law that no one had time to read, filled with 7,200 items that we used to call “pork” having nothing to do with government funding, and costing us taxpayers 1.7 trillion dollars.

Clearly, this is spending money that we don’t have. Thus, this will be adding to the $31.3 trillion national debt. There seems to be no doubt among economists that this is also sure to cause additional inflation.

Also included is $410 million to other countries for enhanced border security, but the $2 billion earmarked for our own border is to specifically be used for “border management.” Huh? Just think about that! We are being “invaded” with over 700,000 known “got-aways” and nothing is included in this monstrosity for additional security technology or additional agents?

Makes this writer want to throw up!

It’s a uniparty rigged game. While the minions argue over whatever nonsense is drummed up, the elite get rich by plundering the national treasure and labor of working class Americans. I remember a few months ago when everybody rooted for Ukraine. What a joke. Not our business, now billions have disappeared into the Ukraine black hole while the industrial military complex skips to the bank, making sure the politicians in DC get paid off for their blessing. What a racket.
