Who are Republicans?

October 12, 2022 by Guest Post

by Carole Davenport, Florence

“Montana Republicans are men and women of all walks of life and of all creeds and colors. We are grateful to God for the quiet beauty of our state. We are united in viewing the United States of America as an exceptional nation that in its inception broke the historical norm. We celebrate being self-governing, free citizens. We recognize the debt we owe those citizens who came before us, and we gladly acknowledge our duty to pass the gift of liberty on to our children and grandchildren. If you share these values, please join us.” Excerpt from the Platform of the Montana Republican Party.

With all the nonsensical Democrat posturing we’re seeing, as they attempt to intimidate believers of the above principle (WE THE PEOPLE) I urge you to stand strong and not waiver in your conviction and conscience.

Our only hope against deception and intimidation is not to choose a church just because it’s popular, not to follow someone who “claims” to be a Christian, or “claims” to be a Republican or Conservative. (Test them all!) We are repeatedly warned that there are “wolves in sheep’s clothing” around us, and that the “hearts of many will grow cold.” Follow only our Almighty God. On His terms this great nation was established.

    To John Grant:
“Hating”? The use of that word so much today makes me sad.
Do you think that just because someone thinks differently from you they hate you? NOT so. Not at all. My God teaches love.
I’m sorry you feel that way.
    God bless you.

“Follow only our Almighty God”? That ONLY word sure EXCLUDES a whole lot people and is foundational to eventually hating any who do not believe or worship the exact same way you do. Believe and worship as you wish and so will I. Neither ought be mutually exclusive.

You’re not excluded friend. The last paragraph of the article began with “we urge you”. That term infers a suggestion, and one out of love. I don’t believe it was intended to be a part of the description of a Republican. In addition, I see no where in my Bible where “hate” is an attribute of Christ, quite the contrary. While our founders left room for other religions, there’s nothing wrong with Christianity, but everything right. It is the source of the moral code our constitution was founded upon, agree with it or not. Besides, if we don’t Gods word as our guide, what or whose moral authority do we use? I know of no higher, purer, righteous authority, than that of Christ.

Keith. The Bible condones slavery (the owning of human beings as property) the murder of homosexuals and that women should be subservient to men. Do you believe that those are all good moral values? If not, why not? Are you more moral than your god?

Preach John. All creeds and colors? The Republican party today promotes racist dogma. And keep your religious crap to yourselves. There is a reason that we have a separation between church and state.

The only dogma promoted is by Democrats who want us to be gaslighted and believe that TRUMP and the RUSSIANS are the cause of all our problems. Wake up please Bridget……ask who caused the high gas prices by canceling the pipelines and throwing ten thousand Americans out of work? And inflation at 8.5%? Food up 20%? Who wants those who work and pay taxes to pay for young ones who don’t want the financial responsibility to pay for their own college studies? Who put us in the crosshairs of a nuclear war? Who is allowing millions of illegals to flood into the country and some are criminals, rapists, killers and have diseases we no longer have in this country.? DOGMA? seriously? Look in the mirror Bridget…..

God bless you Carole for clarifying the truth, and trying to rid the slandering of both parties that’s been going on way too long.
