From what I’ve gathered, there’s a grand jury investigating the January 6, 2021 insurrection intentionally obstructing Congress.
And, there’s a widening grand jury probe in Fulton County, Georgia, investigating Donald Trump’s recorded endeavor to get a fraudulent Georgia vote count in last year’s Presidential Election.
In the New York civil case involving tax fraud by the Trump Organization, there are 36,000 newly submitted documents for the New York AG to evaluate. She will compare those documents with Donald Trump’s tax filings.
Besides working with attorneys in the above cases, Donald Trump has to field a new legal team to make an appeal to the D.C. Circuit Court, or the Supreme Court, if he wants to keep his 2015-20 IRS tax returns private, and out of reach by the House Ways and Means Committee.
And he has to hire attorneys to defend why, unlike a patriot, he intentionally stole 35 boxes of documents that actually belong to the National Archives. Some of those attorneys must be experienced with classified, top secret, SAP information, as found in the 15 boxes Trump reluctantly returned, after secretly holding them for a year. And be up on espionage law. Those 15 boxes may have been less likely to implicate DJT in criminal activity than the 12 boxes DJT did not return.
The DOJ subpoenaed and watched Mar-a-Lago closed circuit television, before establishing a search warrant to seize certain listed boxes that had been identified by a person at Mar-a-Lago. A search warrant noting which laws Trump might have violated. For instance, maybe, 18 USC 793, violating the Espionage Act. Reportedly, two of Trump’s attorneys witnessed the 8/8/22 seizure of 12 boxes of documents illegally held at Mar-a-Lago. And saw the search warrant listing what materials would be seized, noting that Trump’s possessing them was in violation of which laws.
Besides all of the above, Donald Trump has to deal with legal consequences of being involved with the John Eastman fraudulent scheme to not pass executive power to the Biden-Harris administration.
And, as if that was not enough, Donald Trump has to anticipate if the phones DOJ seized from Senator Rick Scott and Representative Scott Perry might have evidence incriminating DJT with the 1/6/21 insurrection intentionally obstructing Congress.
And much more importantly, Donald Trump has to work with a core legal team about how to respond to possible DOJ charges. Of say, Obstruction, Sedition, and running a cover up. A cover up when his agents oversaw deleting 1/6/21 information on some Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Secret Service (SS), and Department of Defense (DOD), phones.
Prominent GOP political leaders criticized the DOJ document seizure at the home of the past President of the USA. Some people contend that the Mar-a-Lago document seizure was so unjust that violence, even civil war, was justified. Others contend that stealing 27 boxes of US government documents was certainly unjust. And worse, the documents were held in a very insecure setting. Even worse, what were the purposes of the small number of people involved with the stolen documents? Monetary or transactional purposes? Espionage purposes?
There’s a lot for the DOJ to pay for and contend with, in addition to dealing with ongoing court cases for the 1/6/21 defendants.
That’s a lot for journalism to responsibly deal with.
That’s a lot, but not too much, for us, young and old, to deal with. And understand. And reserve judgment until more material evidence is revealed by responsible journalism.
Perhaps Donald Trump became his own worst enemy. Had he not violated so many laws, he might have had a better chance at successfully running for President in 2024.
Selecting White House documents to steal, and transporting them to his residence, was neither reasonable nor responsible. Was more like a thief who thought he was above the law, so he would not get caught.

Gomez – you are one who needs beer and apparently a GOD in your life from YOUR comments. It’s a shame that no one will miss you when you are gone…
no one will be able to say a “prayer” for you as you don’t believe in heaven or religion. How sad and what an empty life you lead.
Gomez says
Lol. I am quite fine, thank you. I just prefer an uncomfortable truth to a comforting lie. Not everyone is strong enough to live their lives that way.
Alan says
What insurrection? You mean folks walking around protesting the election? Trust me, if the right wing zealots wanted an insurrection, they would have folding DC like a cheap lawn chair. Jan 06 is a complete nothingburger and everybody sane knows it.
David Welch says
Excellent! We’ve got another candidate for Stupidest Person in the Valley. Dee and Helen, watch out! Alan is hot on your heels.
Laurie says
David! Perfectly said and so true. I’m still smiling over your well placed and true comment!
Laurie says
Alan…explain why so many of the insurrectionists that have been caught and now are being prosecuted and sentenced to jail time are crying like little babies and saying they now regret believing the former President and his band of liars? There’s more to come. You would have to be blind, deaf and ignorant to not see what went on before our nation’s eyes. Insurrectionists are not patriots. Enough already.
hsabin says
Laurie – retribution will be coming to those who are violating the Constitutional rights of Americans for Jan 6, for doing so. Insurrectionists are only in your mind ….but look at Biden, Pelosi, Obama, AOC, and all the rest of the weirdos in D>C> and there you will see TRUE traitors to this country. But then, you wear liberal left glasses …so we see from where you are coming.
Kevin OBrien says
Bob, you have just made the case for Donald Trump. With the Saints of the Democrat party like Hillary, Bill, Joe, Hunter, Nancy and Paul just to name a few you have once again proven to thoughtful Americans that Trump has exposed our Swamp. Thank you for reminding me.

This is one of your failings GOMEZ – you always attack the writer NOT the message. That says YOU are the problem….with ignorant Americans. Try to dispute the message and you cannot. Shame on you!
Gomez says
Wow Helen such anger. Do you need a beer? I bet you don’t laugh often. Too bad. Or maybe you just woke up grumpy this morning. Helen, you always have the right to ignore what others say. But you didn’t. You were triggered. So what does that say about you Helen? You condemn those who reply, and then you turn around and do the same thing? Hahaha. Hypocrite possibly is your middle name?Try your delete button.
Gomez says
For those that missed it, I was simply quoting Helen’s comments that she had left for other readers in the last week. 🙂
