On Friday, Sept. 9th, the cross country teams from Florence, Stevensville, Corvallis, and Hamilton traveled to Kalispell to participate in the Flathead Invitational at Rebecca Farm. It was a huge event with 24 total schools competing, including 139 boys and 106 girls. For the girls team results, Corvallis finished 2nd overall, just behind Class AA Flathead, while the Hamilton girls finished in 5th place.
Individually, Corvallis had five girls in the top 25: Violet Jessop finished 4th, Laurie Davidson finished 6th, Casie Stornetta took 15th, Ella Varner took 20th, Autumn Benson took 23rd. For Hamilton, Kinga Kari finished 12th and Madi Nelson finished 25th. Theresa Malachinski was Stevensville’s highest finisher.
For the boys team results, Corvallis finished 6th, Hamilton finished 10th, and Stevensville finished 16th.
Individually, Hamilton freshman Taylor Doleac finished 6th, Florence’s Kyler Harris finished 17th, Corvallis’s Gavin Hagberg finished 18th, and Hamilton’s Evan Bennet took 20th. Erik Potter was Stevenville’s highest finisher.
