The article on the front page of the Bitterroot Star dated Wednesday, August 10, 2022, “Splash pad opens, closes” has a statement that is incorrect. That statement is “officially handed over ownership to the Town of Stevensville before the jets were turned on in front of a crowd of donors, volunteers, and eager children.”
There has been no official transfer or acceptance of the splash pad by the Town of Stevensville.
This statement needs to be corrected and at this time the transfer/acceptance of the splash pad will need to come forth as an agenda item at a regularly scheduled Town Council meeting for approval.
