He knew he would lose

There’s abundant taped, and documented, evidence of certain people endeavoring to steal the US 2020 Presidential Election. Trying to steal it from we the people.

From what I’ve gathered, there were four main lines of attack.

1) Pumping propaganda to extremist, radicalized groups, that the Election was stolen, and stolen by Democrats. As a direct result, about 2,000 people, some with Trump flags, some with Confederate flags, some chanting “stop the steal,” invaded the Capitol building and forcefully obstructed Congress. When, as required by the US Constitution, on January 6, 2021, in joint session, Congress was to receive the Electoral College paper ballots already cast on 12/14/20, and formally acknowledge the State certified, 306 Electoral votes for Joe Biden, and 232 Electoral votes for Donald Trump, then-Vice President Mike Pence, as President of the Senate, would formally pass Presidential power to Joe Biden, who received seven million more votes than did Donald Trump. 

2) Early on, Senator Mike Lee (R-Utah), and Representative Chip Roy (R-Texas), advocated for the John Eastman scheme to have seven state legislatures  appoint “alternate slates of Electors” to the Electoral College, and re-elect President Trump.

3) The John Eastman scheme morphed into the Peter Navarro “Green Bay Sweep” scheme. Navarro claimed that Trump, and 100 members of Congress, planned to have GOP Legislatures in Arizona, Michigan, Pennsylvania, Georgia, Wisconsin, and Georgia, nominate fraudulent Electors to the Electoral College, to re-elect President Trump.

Both of those schemes required consent by the Vice President. President Trump repeatedly pressured, even bullied, V.P. Pence to consent. But, Pence refused to reject state certified Electors. In 48 states there is a winner-take-all system, where the Electors vote for the Presidential candidate that received the most popular votes in that state.

4) The Senator Ted Cruz scheme, to work around Vice President Pence, and force Congress to approve Republican state “election commissions” to appoint Electors. Eleven Senators, and Senator Steve Daines, advocated for the Senator Ted Cruz scheme to illegally keep Trump in power.

By mid-December 2020, over 50 court cases brought by Trump loyalists, about election fraud and election irregularities, were withdrawn, or dismissed for lack of evidence. Repeatedly, knowledgeable Republicans told President Trump the election was well run, without fraud. Repeatedly, Trump was told there would be violent obstruction of Congress on January 6, 2021. On that day he watched live big screen views of forceful, violent actions intended to obstruct Congress.

There were multiple conspiracies with prime intent to criminally interfere with the 2020 Presidential Election. Consequently, the US DOJ, also the Jan. 6 House Special Committee, have responsibility to follow the will of the majority of US voters, Article II of the US Constitution, and the Electoral Count Act, by investigating the ring leaders, then central command, of the planned, well funded, organized, coordinated, violent obstruction of Congress. And more.

A few days after the November 3, 2020 election, President Trump, Ginni Thomas, and Senator Steve Daines individually alleged that Democrats stole the election. Then President Trump did something else very unusual. On 11/9/20, Pres. Trump summarily fired Secretary of Defense Mark Esper and appointed Christopher Miller as Acting Secretary of DOD. Miller was not well qualified, but had argued in favor of using Active Duty troops to quell an instance of civic unrest.

On 11/11/20, Pres. Trump appointed Kash Patel as Chief of Staff to acting Secretary of Defense Miller.

Kash Patel had been a controversial aide to Rep. Devin Nunnes, and had obstructed investigation into the well documented, pro-Trump, Russian intervention in the 2016 Presidential Election. 

Christopher Miller and Kash Patel were in position when, on 1/6/21 during  the attack against Congress, six times the National Guard was ordered to not respond.

Considering news reports of President Trump possibly invoking the Insurrection Act and declaring Martial Law on January 6, 2021, the House Special Committee has already heard testimony from Christopher Miller.

We saw something very unusual happen on 1/6/21. After reading of court case after court case about election irregularities getting withdrawn, or dismissed for lack of evidence, thirty million Americans watched on television hours of evidence of forceful, violent actions against the US Constitution requiring Congress and the Vice President to pass executive power to duly elected Joe Biden and Kamala Harris.

For instance, when “Stack Two” entered the North Door of the Capitol, and headed for the in-session Senate. And when Oath Keepers leader Kelly Meggs led “Stack One” through the just breached East Door, curved around the Rotunda, and headed for Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi.

The US Department of Justice is responsible to sort through hundreds of people who took part in planning the 1/6/21 obstruction of Congress and determine if possibly criminal activities should be investigated. 

Here’s two questions for we the people. Who was directly involved with mobilizing force and violence to obstruct Congress and the will of the voters? Was it the intent of some officials to wrongly cancel existing law and order and wrongly establish Martial Law over we the people? Officials sworn to protect the Constitution, and represent the people. And not be enemies of the people.

Trump establishing Martial Law would not be acceptable to us, the majority of the people.

After all, Trump lost the popular vote in the 2016 Presidential Election by 3 million votes. President Trump’s polled approval averaged 41%. In the 2020 Presidential Election, the majority of voters, in metropolitan as well as suburban areas voted for Biden, not Trump. Trump knew all of that, but he constructed  malicious propaganda that the election was stolen.

The Trump that many voters wanted was not the Trump we got. For instance, as President he appointed a very corrupted cabinet, was cozy with Putin, had a disastrous foreign policy in Europe and Asia, failed to deal with the Covid epidemic, elevated a lot of people who coveted power, gave a $1.9 trillion tax cut to the wealthy, greatly increased the debt of the federal government, co-opted the Republican Party, and captured money streams that had flowed to the Republican Party. 

From early November of 2020, President Trump repeatedly violated the ninth commandment against false witness, intentional deception so he could violate the eighth commandment, when on January 6, 2021, he and his agents could take away something that did not belong to them. So they could steal the Presidential Election away from we the people.

Donald Trump knew that Putin helped him win the 2016 election. The US intelligence community announced that Putin’s intelligence agencies stole emails from Hillary Clinton, and twiced hacked data from the Democratic Central Committee. Putin’s agents employed a large troll farm to online smear the pro-NATO, Democratic candidate for President. Using US registered voter lists, Putin’s agents manipulated targeted swing Democrats to not vote for Hillary Clinton. Donald Trump knew that Putin could not manipulate the 2020 Presidential Election. Donald Trump knew he would lose the 2020 Presidential Election.

Donald Trump also knows that last year, also this year, many states have passed laws that will reduce the number of people able to vote for Democratic candidates. He knows some states will pass laws to have State Legislatures determine Electors to the Electoral College. He knows that some states will elect election officials committed to violating the will of the voters of that state. He knows he is the most likely Republican candidate for the Presidency in 2024.
