The Corvallis girls softball team’s season ended on a high note – qualifying for state and winning two games at the state tournament. In the opening game on Thursday, May 26th, Corvallis defeated Ronan, 9-3. Gabby Krueger went 3 for 3 with 2 home runs and Macee Greenwood also had a home run in the victory. In their second game, they faced the eventual state runner-up, Billings Central, and lost, 0-4. On Friday morning, Corvallis defeated Glendive, 6-4, in a loser out game. Pitcher Gabby Krueger allowed only two hits and got the win. Macee Greenwood went 2 for 4 with an RBI, and Jaydyn Greenwood went 2 for 2 and scored 2 runs. Hours later on Friday, they played Polson, who eventually placed 3rd in the tournament. They got down early and were never able to make a comeback and lost, 1-11.
