Support for Rusk

May 18, 2022 by Guest Post

by Karen and Tom Round, Florence

My wife’s and my families have been residents of Florence in what is Montana House District 88 for over 50 years. While living in Florence over those years, we have represented and voluntarily served you and your families on the school board, teaching in Stevensville and Florence, directing a local church choir for 18 years, and been proud supporters of the successful academic and extracurricular programs that our children were very much a part of and benefited from. As a real estate broker and appraiser for 45 years, I have appraised many of your homes. Either myself, or an agent in my company, has been involved in many of you buying or selling your homes. Through all of the above mentioned we have gotten to know so many wonderful people in this district, and consequently have a pretty good handle on what this part of the Bitterroot is all about.

I have spent the last several weeks meeting many of you once again, and some of you for the first time, while “knocking on doors” campaigning with candidate for House District 88, Wayne Rusk, asking for your vote in the upcoming primary on June 7th. In these weeks, I have come to realize what a true patriot and honorable person he is. Wayne is a Constitutional Conservative whose knowledge and support of the Constitution and all that went into its creation by the founding fathers, as well as the Constitution of the state of Montana, is remarkable. Wayne believes in states’ rights and that those rights are not be usurped by the federal government. He believes in the right to life, the right to free speech as provided in the 1st Amendment, and the right to bear arms as provided in the 2nd Amendment. Although an interesting idea, Wayne does not think a “Convention of States” is a wise and feasible solution at this time, due to the many undeniable issues we are dealing with by the out of control representation in our nation’s capital.

Wayne is the best choice and the right person to send as your HD 88 Representative to Helena. My wife Karen and I strongly urge you to support Wayne Rusk in the upcoming primary election on June 7th. Do not be swayed by the slander, outright lies and misrepresentations, and false rhetoric put forth under the guise of “it’s just politics.”

PLEASE VOTE! Your vote counts and is important.
