Last week a Mr. Ed. Sperry (Col USAF Ret) pontificated on the destructive use of nullification using several examples which had nothing to do with the Constitutional theory of nullification (state authority to determine the validity of federal legislation and to declare the acts unconstitutional). He even stretched his examples to include the Boston Tea Party to be an act of nullification. Thomas Jefferson first set forth this theory with James Madison in 1798 in Virginia and Kentucky as a protest against the Federalist Alien and Sedition Act. This was the first use of the nullification theory. So the Boston Tea Party which occurred in 1773 clearly was not an act of what we are presently speaking.
The other acts of “nullification” that Mr. Sperry cites are the failure to secure our southern border, the failure to end the BLM riots that killed many and devastated our large Western cities, such as Portland and Seattle. How absurd. This is the Federal government acting in an unlawful and traitorous way to move us into a one world government. Joe Biden swore an oath to uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States and he has done almost everything to take away our rights and to make us vulnerable in every way possible. This is not nullification, it is treason! The federal government has tried to mandate experimental drugs in violation of the Nuremberg code. Obama tried to mandate bathrooms to be used by both sexes, etc., etc., which are a huge overreach of the Federal Government. Mr. Sperry’s recommendation is a Constitutional Convention. What could go wrong? We held elections that were compromised by crimes and deceit perpetrated by the party in office. See the movie “2,000 mules” and stop listening to mainstream media.
Nullification allows Governors, for example, the power to look at the constitutionality of laws coming down and to protect their state from the disastrous overreach of the Federal govt. Any “conservative” politician who will not stand up to this unlawful and disastrous pathway of simply complying (“going along to get along”) with this tyranny is no patriot and doesn’t belong in political office. Alan Lackey is for this form of nullification. He is a patriot who is looking to the next generation, not a politician looking to the next election. I have had conversations with Alan Lackey and believe he will not compromise or go along with the present destruction of our republic. This is NOT lawlessness but the final state’s check and balance of a tyrannical government. Until our voting process is fixed we need Patriots to defend against the usurpation and abuses of our present government.
